Youth Leagues And Programs

We provide a safe, fun environment for
children of all ages to learn about
and enjoy duckpin bowling.

Our youth leagues run from September to April, with independent short summer sessions from May to August.

  • Age Divisions - Pee Wees (6 and under), Preps (7-9), Bantams (10-12), Juniors (13-15), Majors (16-21)
  • 2 games - $9.00 per week / 3 games - $11.00 per week
  • Great way to earn gym credit for homeschoolers
  • Join anytime! Bring friends or make new ones!

  • Our awards program ensures everyone receives awards, not simply because they participate but because everyone scores and everyone succeeds.
  • Patches, trophies, and plaques
  • Weekly merchandise raffles, holiday celebrations, and special tournaments
  • Individual awards based on over-your-average and personal-best scoring
  • Team wins/losses based on 80% handicap

  • Our instructors and coaches are certified by the National Duckpin Youth Association and green-lighted by the National Center for Safety Initiatives.

    Ronald McDonald House

Beginning in 2020, the GBB Youth Leagues began collecting pull tabs and set a goal of donating 1 million tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. They use the money received from recycling the tabs to buy gas for the shuttle bus that takes the sick children and their families back and forth between the hospital and the RMDH. So far, we've donated over 75 lbs or 95,000 tabs.

    St. Jude Children's Hospital

Each March, the GBB Youth Leagues hold a purse bingo with the proceeds being split between the NDYA and St. Jude Children's Hospital. In 2019, we sent $4,658.96 to St. Jude's, bringing our total donations to $14, 225.71! The 2020 and 2021 events were canceled due to the pandemic, but we are eager to get back into the bingo hall.

    Blue Ribbon Project

In April/May, the GBB youth leagues collect much-needed items for the Blue Ribbon Project - a charitable organization that is 100% volunteer supported and directly serves abused and neglected children right here in our community. Blue Ribbon Project's mission is to prevent all forms of child abuse and provide critical support to victims of abuse and neglect.

    North County Emergency Outreach Network

In the Fall, the GBB Youth Leagues holds a Maryland-wide Youth Adult Tournament for NDYA league members and collects canned goods for NCEON both at the tournament and in a receptacle in the center.

    Operation Christmas Child

During the holidays, the GBB youth leagues collect small toys, gifts, and hygiene items to fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas. The shoe boxes are sent outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
